Done in my first year of art school.  I saw duality everywhere and contrasted some concepts here: smooth & rough, rounded & angled, fragile & hard, white & colorful...

The rock can crush the egg or protect it. 

In one paradigm the egg is temporary and the rock is permanent while another paradigm sees the rock (matter) as temporary and the egg (spirit) as permanent.
